1. Overview

Inky Magic ("the App") is a coloring book application for children, available on iPad. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App. Inky Magic is developed by Oday ("we", "us", "our").

We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Apple's App Store Guidelines for the Kids Category.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

• We do not collect personal information from children or adults
• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
• We do not display advertisements of any kind
• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
• We do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:

• Coloring progress: Your child's drawings and coloring progress are saved locally using Apple's SwiftData framework
• App preferences: Settings such as selected tools, colors, and age group are stored in UserDefaults on your device
• Cached images: Template and AI-generated images are cached locally for performance

This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. Voice Input (Speech Recognition)

Inky Magic includes a voice feature that allows children to describe what they'd like to color. Here's how it works:

• Voice recognition is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework whenever possible
• Voice recordings are never stored by Inky Magic
• The recognized text (not the audio) may be sent to our AI service to create a coloring page
• No personal information is included in these requests — only the child's drawing description

The App requests microphone permission only when the voice feature is used. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings.

5. AI Image Generation

When a child requests a custom coloring page, the text description is sent to an AI image generation service to create the image. Important details:

• Only the text description of the desired image is sent (e.g., "a friendly dinosaur")
• No personal information, device identifiers, or usage data is included in these requests
• All prompts pass through a multi-layer child-safety content filter before being sent
• Generated images are returned to your device and stored locally only
• We route requests through our own proxy server (Cloudflare Workers) over HTTPS — no raw API keys are stored in the app

6. In-App Purchases

Inky Magic offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how Apple handles payment data.

7. Parental Controls

Inky Magic includes a parental gate (a math question) that protects access to settings, in-app purchases, and external links. This ensures children cannot accidentally access these features or make purchases without parental involvement.

8. Third-Party Services

Inky Magic uses the following third-party services:

• Apple's App Store / StoreKit: For in-app purchases (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
• Apple's Speech Framework: For on-device voice recognition
• xAI / OpenRouter: For AI image generation (only sanitized text prompts are sent, no personal data)
• Cloudflare Workers: Our proxy server that routes AI requests securely (does not log or store any request data)

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs.

9. Data Security

All data remains on your device. Network communications with AI services use HTTPS encryption. Our proxy server does not log or retain any user requests. We follow Apple's security best practices for iOS app development.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Inky Magic is designed for children and complies with COPPA:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• We do not require any personal information to use the App
• We do not contain behavioral advertising or interest-based advertising
• A parental gate protects access to settings and purchases
• Parents can contact us at any time to request information about data practices

11. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. All app data is stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting the App. If you are in the EU/EEA and have any privacy-related questions, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
